
A look back at the Microelectronics Research Symposium on elektronikforschung.de
On the website elektronikforschung.de, operated by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR), a reflection on our conference “Microelectronics Research in Germany: From Fundamentals to Applications” (FTME) has been published. The review identified the following key thematic areas:
- Current developments in microelectronics: Advances in research and their practical applications were discussed to strengthen Germany’s innovative capacity in this field.
- Supporting the next generation: A central focus was on promoting young talent and creating networks to support the next generation of scientists in microelectronics.
- Knowledge transfer and collaboration: The conference emphasized the importance of exchange between academia, industry, and policy to drive technological developments.
- ForLab network and new initiatives: The ForLab network was highlighted as an example of successful networks designed to further advance microelectronics research in Germany.
- BMFTR Partner Dialogue: A highlight was the dialogue with the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space, which underscored the strategic importance of microelectronics for Germany.
