Symposium “Microelectronics Research in Germany: From the Basics to Application” 2026

The next symposium “Microelectronics Research in Germany: From the Basics to Application” will take place in Bochum in March 2026.
From 4 to 6 March 2026, representatives of microelectronics research at German universities and industry will come together in Bochum to discuss trends, opportunities and challenges in the promotion of young talent.

The active networking of German universities with other network initiatives in microelectronics will be the focus alongside the promotion of young talent, social aspects and technical topics.

We – the ForLab network – are using the symposium to emphasize the importance of networking universities with a focus on microelectronics research and the training of highly qualified specialists for the semiconductor industry.

Stakeholders from research and industry will come together to identify ideas for future developments and to explore potential synergies.

The preliminary program and registration will be available here from autumn 2025.
